Senate approves to extend state of emergency for 25 days

Santo Domingo.- The Senate approved on Wednesday an extension of the state of emergency for 25 days, after President Danilo Medina requested it on Tuesday.
The resolution, approved in a marathon four-hour session, will be debated Thursday in the Chamber of Deputies, which was convened for 11am.
The Senate was convened for next Friday at 10am.
