Grupo Piñero will reopen the Cayo Levantado Resort hotel in the second quarter of 2023

The Cayo Levantado Resort hotel in Samaná will reopen in the second quarter of 2023, according to Grupo Piñero. As a result, Isabel Piñero, Grupo Piñero’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), stated that “it is already a source of satisfaction for all the professionals involved in the project and, of course, it will be a source of pride for the residents of the province. This is because our offer and concept under the motto “Hidden Rhythm” summarizes the essence of what Samaná is: said vital rhythm in synergy with nature and quality of life, a distinct rhythm characteristic of Dominican culture that amazes visitors,” arecoa.com details.

“We are proud of the concept that we have given to the project,” she said, “because it allows us to improve the environment, show the world the authentic heart of the Dominican Republic, and contribute to the economic and social development of the entire area, generating quality jobs with a future. We want to make it possible to internalize the country’s rhythm, which Dominicans carry in their DNA, and in architecture, it is also an element that composes and develops creative design and architectural details,” she added.

She stated that the hotel complex’s concept will be built on three pillars: the environment, local culture, and wellness. Local culture: integration by incorporating Dominican talent from the area and displaying the authentic heart of Samaná to the world. Wellness: from a broader perspective, each space is associated with health, good nutrition, calm, sport, relaxation, and connecting with oneself. Environment: being the greatest defender of nature’s rhythm, for example, by properly treating organic waste (converting it into energy), reducing the carbon footprint, and devoting significant efforts to the preservation of flora and fauna, to name a few. It is also important to highlight the efforts made in terms of landscaping and increasing the biodiversity of the key for it to remain a true natural sanctuary.
