DR occupies the eighth position among the 10 most competitive countries in air transport, reports the JAC

According to the Air Transport Competitiveness Index in Latin America and the Caribbean 2022, which identifies and analyzes the conditions and factors that influence the industry’s development and competitiveness, the Dominican Republic is among the most competitive countries in the region in air transport. The information was shared by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) as part of the International Civil Aviation Day celebrations.

“On Civil Aviation Day, we are ranked eighth among the best-connected countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, cementing our leadership in the region,” said José Marte Piantini, president of the JAC. According to a press release, the country’s positioning adds to the fact that the flow of passengers transported in 2019 has been exceeded since September, establishing it as an international benchmark in air connectivity.

According to the official, the Dominican Republic is among the top ten nations in terms of air transport competitiveness, alongside Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Guatemala, Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil, and Panama.
