Earthquake felt in northern Dominican Republic
A new earthquake with magnitude 4.1 on the Ritcher scale was felt this Saturday night in the Dominican Republic.
According to the National Seismology Center of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, the preliminary report shows that the epicenter was in the southwest of Puerto Plata, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to geologist Osiris de León posted on his Twitter account, another small earth tremor of magnitude 3.2, was registered this Sunday, south of the community of Mella and east of the city of Duvergé, in the eastern zone of Lake Enriquillo.
This is so confusing. I had to re-read it to understand they’re talking about an earthquake on Saturday and another (or an aftershock) on Sunday.
Not great to use the title “Northern DR” with a picture of Lake Enriquillo…
