Mother denounces that Doctors operated on her daughter without consent and they did not show her what was removed in the Baní hospital

On Thursday morning, a 20-year-old girl was operated on at Señora de Regla de Baní hospital without her or her mother’s consent. Until Sunday afternoon, they had not shown the mother what was removed from her daughter. The incident occurred after Mercedes Pérez took her daughter to the health center with abdominal pain. They gave her a positive pregnancy test and sent her to two private centers for sonograms.

The sonograms showed that she was not pregnant. Dr. Valdez examined the girl after not having a clear diagnosis at 7:00 am on Thursday. The specialist guaranteed that they would not medicate her until the next morning and that they would only call if there were any issues. After leaving the hospital, the mother claims that Dr. Valdez took her daughter to surgery without informing her. The patient was not allowed to have a phone in her room, but she was able to make a call.

According to the mother, they told her that her daughter convulsed and received a blood transfusion. The patient is still admitted to the hospital, and the mother is concerned about what was removed from her daughter. She demanded to see what was taken out but was unsuccessful. The hospital has not disclosed any information about the procedure.
