Head of the US Southern Command visits President Luis Abinader

Santo Domingo.- On Tuesday, General Laura Richardson, Commander of the United States Southern Command (Southcom), paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader. During the meeting, they reaffirmed the cooperation ties between the two countries in terms of security. The United States Embassy confirmed this information on its official Twitter account.

The purpose of General Richardson’s visit to the Dominican Republic was to meet with high-level Dominican partners and participate in the closing ceremony of Fuerzas Comando 2023, as stated in a tweet from the embassy.
