Collision claims lives in Montecristi highway accident
Montecristi, DR.- A tragic traffic accident on Tuesday claimed the lives of at least three individuals in Montecristi province, as a truck of the Pepillo Salcedo City Council collided with a bus belonging to the Caribe Tours company on the Manolo Tavárez Justo highway.
Among the victims were Pedro Manuel Núñez, 54, an employee of the Manzanillo City Council, Juan Francisco Henríquez Vargas, 66, and Yanibel Gutiérrez Chery, 21, all of whom were passengers aboard the truck.
The bus driver sustained injuries, including blunt trauma to the left wrist and neck, as per the medical assessment.
Eyewitnesses reported that the accident unfolded when a truck driver attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided head-on with the bus.
The deceased were transferred to the Fantino hospital morgue for necessary procedures.
a good investigative report is to investigate buss drivers, to include secheom. i travel from boca chica to san padro frequently and i find secheom busses are just terrible drives, do not follow the rules of the road, speeding and just reckless driving.
And whoever follows the rules here ?!…no one …
