Leonel visits Robert Reid to check on the health condition of children in Salcedo

Santo Domingo – The president of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, Leonel Fernandez, visited the Robert Reid Cabral Pediatric Hospital this Friday to learn about the health condition of the children who remain there, affected by the fire at the Salcedo Carnival.

Former President Fernández spent several days in Florida, United States. After returning to the country, he contacted the families of those affected, including Augusto Rafael Sánchez, municipal leader of the Fuerza del Pueblo in Salcedo.

During the visit to the hospital, the opposition leader reiterated his shock at what happened, as he had written days ago.

“Very saddened by the number of fatalities following the tragedy at the carnival in Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal province. Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all the people of Salcedo in this moment of sorrow,” wrote Leonel Fernandez a few days ago.

The president of the People’s Force personally went to the hospital to know the state of health of those affected in Santo Domingo and Santiago, where the specialized health centers are located.

At the place, Fernandez could personally contact relatives and express his solidarity.
