MICM announces fuel price increase for this Saturday

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs (MICM) has announced price increases for four fuels in the Dominican Republic starting Saturday, May 25.

Avtur and kerosene will rise by RD$4.58 and RD$4.80, bringing their prices to RD$199.69 and RD$229.90, respectively. Fuel oil 1%S will increase by RD$0.57 to RD$177.37, and fuel oil #6 will go up by RD$0.77 to RD$161.89.

From May 25 to 31, premium gasoline will remain at RD$290.10, and regular gasoline will stay at RD$272.50. The price of optimal diesel will hold steady at RD$239.10, and regular diesel will continue to be sold at RD$221.60.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and natural gas prices will also remain unchanged at RD$132.60 and RD$43.97, respectively.

The Dominican Government has invested nearly RD$388 million to prevent further fuel price increases for the week.
