Temporary closure of Floating Bridge

Santo Domingo.- On Saturday, May 25, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications will temporarily close the Floating Bridge to vehicular traffic from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning.

Engineer Romer Francisco Pérez Vargas, Director of Public Works Bridge Maintenance, stated that the closure is necessary due to the passage of vessels BZA JMC 2511, R/M Storm, and BD Calipso One IMO 8857100.

The Floating Bridge, spanning the Ozama River, connects the National District with the community of Villa Duarte in the Santo Domingo Este municipality.

The MOPC extends apologies to citizens, especially to drivers who utilize this route affected by the closure.
