Government announces modernization of Puerto Plata Cable Car

Puerto Plata.- The Puerto Plata Cable Car Board announced on Thursday the initiation of a complete overhaul of the entire cable car system, following updated technical assessments and consultations with Central Government authorities.

The Board of Trustees, along with the Dominican Government, aims to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety for all users.

As one of the premier tourist attractions in the region and the country, the cable car has been providing exceptional service to Dominicans and tourists for over 40 years.

The Dominican Government is dedicated to enhancing this iconic cable car as a valuable addition to the tourist offerings, including the nearby Loma Isabel de Torres.

The cable car administration has committed to keeping the public informed about the project through updates from the Board of Trustees and its members. Additionally, they will address any concerns or questions from the community and stakeholders.

During the renovation process, meetings will be held with all relevant sector participants to minimize the impact on businesses and families dependent on the cable car operation.

Access to the Loma Isabel de Torres Natural Monument will remain open via improved roads, ensuring optimal access to this beautiful site.

Updates on the progress of this project will be communicated to the public regularly, with an emphasis on involving the community as essential partners in its success.

Hope the Puerto Plata Cable Car remodeling is funded from the Ministry of Tourism budget. It has more than enough money.
