Cesfront has seized more than 9 million units of cigarettes at the border

Dajabon – During several operations carried out since mid-October to date, the Specialized Corps in Land Border Security (CESFRONT) has seized around 9,659,300 units of cigarettes and about 73,094 bottles of alcoholic beverages from Haiti.

The cigarettes and alcoholic beverages were seized during work carried out by the Intelligence Department of the CESFronT C-2, thus fulfilling the firm commitment of the Armed Forces members who serve in the bases of operations.

Delivery

The Specialized Corps for Land Border Security (CESFronT) delivered 831,270 units of cigarettes of different brands and other products that were attempted to be introduced into the country irregularly to the Specialized Corps for Fuel Control and Trade in Goods (CECCOM) this Friday.

Of these cigarettes, 805,480 units were Capital brand, 15,040 Point, and 10,750 Comme Faul.

The military institution also delivered 46,400 units of different medicines, 5,552 alcoholic and energy drinks, and 104 gallons of clerén to CECCOM.

The directors of CECCOM, Brigadier General César A. Miranda Mañón, ERD, and CESFronT, Brigadier General Freddy Rafael Soto Thormann, ERD, stressed that these seizures are the product of the intense work carried out on the border, according to the directives of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, ERD.
