Trough will cause downpours and thunderstorms

National Territory – The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) forecast for today downpours with thunderstorms and gusts of wind over the towns of La Vega, San Juan, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Azua, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, and Monte Plata.

The weather forecaster agency also reported that rains will occur in the afternoon due to troughs over the country.

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) maintains a green alert for Santiago Rodríguez, Santiago, and Espaillat provinces.

Indomet predicts that temperatures will continue to be hot, especially in Santo Domingo and the National District, where the minimum will be between 24 °C and 26 °C and maximum between 33 °C and 35 °C.
