Army stops car with 15 Haitians in Montecristi

Montecristi.- Members of the Intelligence Service and uniformed Army personnel intercepted 15 undocumented Haitians attempting to enter the Dominican Republic by evading the security perimeter of the Mangá military detachment in Guayubín, Montecristi province.

The group, consisting of 11 men, 3 minors, and 1 woman, were traveling in a red Honda Accord. The driver, whose identity remains unknown, fled when confronted by the agents. The vehicle and the undocumented individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Fourth Infantry Brigade of the Army, based in Mao, under the command of Colonel Guillermo Jiménez Arciniega, for legal processing.
