More changes in hospitals, three new directors
National Territory—Mario Lama, the director of the National Health Service (SNS), swore in three new directors of the municipal hospitals. These are the Román Bautista Brache, Felipe J. Achecar, and Antonio Yapor Heded Provincial centers, which belong to the Northeast Regional Health Service.
Román Bautista Brache
Gladis Tejada was sworn in as the new director of the Municipal Hospital Doctor Román Bautista Brache of the Hermanas Mirabal province. She is a doctor of medicine from the Universidad Católica Nordestana and has diplomas in auditing in health services, diabetology, nutrition, and breastfeeding advice.
For her part, Dr. Gladis pledged upon taking office to strengthen timely health care and continue to improve health services in her hospital.
Felipe J. Achehar
As for Dr. José Serrano, he was sworn in as director of the Felipe J. Achecar de Pimentel Municipal Hospital, Duarte province. Dr. Serrano, who has more than 35 years of service, is a doctor of medicine from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, specializing in Gynecology, and has a master’s degree in hospital management. Upon being sworn in, he said that he had the firm intention of reorganizing the hospital to continue providing a better service to the community of Pimentel.
Antonio Yapor Heded
Dulce de Jesús Difó is the new director of the Dr. Antonio Yapor Heded provincial hospital in Nagua, María Trinidad Sánchez province.
De Jesús is a medicine doctor from the Technological University of Santiago who has studied hospital management and sonography and has a diploma in emergencies.
