Seven atmospheric phenomena will have an impact in the next five days
ALERT! 7 atmospheric phenomena will impact the DR over next 5 days
National Territory – The danger has not passed in the Dominican Republic. Seven atmospheric phenomena will affect the Caribbean region in the next five days: two low pressures, two troughs, two tropical waves, and a frontal system, which will maintain the country’s rainy panorama.
This Saturday, we are experiencing the effects of the low pressure located to the southwest of the country and the trough moving north of the Caribbean: this afternoon, moderate rains could remain in the south, southeast, northeast, Central Cordillera, north, and northwest.
Tomorrow, Sunday, more significant downpours will increase due to the arrival of tropical wave number 54. There will be abundant humidity in the national territory so that flash floods could spread over a large part of the country during the afternoon and night.
On Monday, the remnants of the tropical wave will remain, and a new trough will approach the region. Moderate to heavy rains will continue, with the potential for more flash floods in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, rainfall will increase in most of the Dominican territory due to the arrival of a cold front: the heaviest downpours will occur in the afternoon, with the possibility of more flooding.
