Doctors will receive a salary increase of 25%

Santo Domingo.- Due to agreements between the government and the Dominican Medical College (CMD), Dominican doctors will receive a 25% salary increase starting this January.

The increase will be 10% in January 2025, 10% in July 2025 on the increase applied in January 2025, and 5% in January 2026 on the increase applied in July 2025.

The increase applies to doctors of the National Health Service (SNS), Ministry of Public Health, Self-Management Hospitals, 911 and CONAPE, and Medical Auditors who perform care functions regardless of the number of appointments they hold as medical doctors.

The agreement was signed this Saturday by the Vice President of the Republic and President of the Health Cabinet, Raquel Peña, and by the President of the CMD, Waldo Ariel Suero, in a meeting attended by the titular members of the cabinet mentioned above and the other members of the board of directors of the doctors’ union.

The pact was sealed in the Green Room of the National Palace.
