Abinader appoints General Cruz Méndez as DIGESETT director

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader, through decree 172-25, appointed General Pascual Cruz Méndez as the new director of the General Directorate of Transit and Land Transportation Safety (DIGESETT).

General Cruz Méndez has an extensive background in law enforcement, security, and public management. His academic training includes courses in criminal investigation, domestic violence, identity theft, corruption prevention, and human rights, along with diplomas in social sciences and citizen service. He has also received specialized training in intelligence, conflict resolution, and police operations.

With this appointment, the government reinforces its commitment to public safety and traffic management. General Cruz Méndez is expected to enhance regulatory compliance, modernize land transportation, and improve mobility and road safety nationwide.
