The roof of the arena, which is in urgent need of repair due to leaks that caused delays in the Superior Tournament, is just one of the areas that require attention. The ceiling, bathrooms, corridors, whiteboard screens, and air conditioning units are also in need of repair or replacement. Furthermore, the lack of a ventilation system during the arena’s remodeling has caused discomfort to athletes and spectators alike, and it is essential to address this issue to avoid further deterioration of the infrastructure.

Robinson Aracena, the administrator of the Superior tournament in Santiago, has also suggested that the Gran Arena del Cibao should be evaluated by a team of seismology experts to prepare for potential earthquakes. While the seats and court remain in good condition, these areas require immediate attention to prevent further damage to the facility.
