Dominican nurse gets the US Congress’ kudos

New York.- New York State registered nurse Josefina Alcántara Ramírez was recently praised by the US Congress, “for her long and successful professional career of 30 years of service, her tireless work in the community, vocation to patient care and bring a voice of the community, we made this proclamation of recognition.”

The proclamation and a pin of the House of Representatives were delivered by Fianny Cabrera on behalf of Congressman Adriano Espaillat who was in Washington attending legislative sessions.

Espaillat noted that the nurse, born in Elías Piña province, worked for 30 years at Lincoln Hospital, whose medical center praised her as a great example of improvement and an authentic representation of Dominicanness in the US.
