U-13 Women’s Soccer World Cup kicks off in Santiago
Santiago, DR.- The “U-13 Women’s Soccer World Cup” was inaugurated this Sunday at the Real Deportivo Club stadium in Santiago, supported by the Mayor of Santiago and the Dominican Football Federation. This event marks the countdown to the highly anticipated U-17 Women’s Soccer World Cup, organized by FIFA.
The tournament, held under the motto “My First World Cup: Football for Everyone and by Everyone,” featured participation from notable figures like Betzaida Ubri, coach of the Dominican U-17 team, and Taní, the official mascot.
The competition includes 16 teams, split between Santiago and Santo Domingo, and serves as preparation for the U-17 Women’s World Cup, set to begin on October 16. The tournament will take place over three weekends, offering a full schedule of sporting action.
