First Caribbean Artistic Skating Tour to take place in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo.- From November 1 to 3, Santo Domingo will host the first Caribbean Artistic Skating Tour, featuring competitors and coaches from Panama, Mexico, Colombia, and El Salvador. Italian skater Rebbeca Tarlazzi, a 16-time world champion in artistic roller skating, will be a special guest, along with her coach Annalissa Marelli, who will lead training sessions and evaluation competitions.

The event, organized by Skateland Academy, will also include a sustainability-focused study using a partial Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) to assess environmental impacts. Skateland Academy Director Nairym Hernandez expressed hopes that this event will spark increased interest in roller skating, highlighting its potential for growth among both local and international skaters.

Tarlazzi’s illustrious career includes 16 world titles, seven European championships, and two gold medals at the World Games, making her one of the sport’s most decorated athletes.
