Medina cuts ribbons, breaks ground on major east region investments

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.-President Danilo Medina on Monday cut the ribbon for a new terminal at PuntaCana International Airport, the expansion of Club Med; the housing project CiudadCayenas by the developers Hoyo Claro and groundbreaking for the INFOTEP HospitalitySchool, in Higuey.
Punta Cana Airport´s newTerminal A aims to increase the number of passengers and flights to the airport,which according to the Central Bank already receives more than 60 percent of thecountry´s tourist-based air traffic.
Medina broke ground onthe hotelier school to be built under rigorous international standards at acost of more than RD$245 million, on the grounds of Higuey´s former icon HotelEl Naranjo, with cooperation by the French government..
