Hundreds of troupes romp into the night of Carnival

Santo Domingo.- Santo Domingo’s famous seaside boulevard ElMalecon once was again the backdrop for the raucous National Carnival Parade,where hundreds of troupes paraded from Sunday noon into the night.

The Culture Ministry hosted the folkloric event which thisyear featured the National Children’s Carnival Exhibit with the motto:"For the right to smile.").

Representatives from all provinces took part in the CarnivalParade, as well as other independent groups, troupes and international guests,which flaunted their creativity to a cheering crowd.
