Founding Father gets a wax museum in his honor

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Wednesday cut the ribbon on a wax museum In which honors the memory and ideals of Juan Pablo Duarte, which highlights the work of Dominican Republic’s Founding Father’s life from birth to death.

The museum located in the same house where Duarte was born on January 26, 1813, is divided in sections dedicated to his family; the Duartian Institute, and artifacts.

The site features three Spanish patios, an auditorium for 139 people and sits on a reconstructed area of just over 1,000 square meters.
