Miami, Santo Domingo to reap ‘Sister Cities’ benefits
Miami Beach
Miami.- National District mayor David Collado on Thursday received the keys of the city of Miami, from his counterpart Tomás Regalado, and agreed to work together to reap the benefits of sister cities.
Collado received the distinction during a ceremony at Miami city hall, where several council members also attended.
The Sister Cities agreement will allow Miami city technicians to collaborate with those of the National District on garbage collection and urban cleanliness.
Miami’s authorities will also collaborate by training the Municipal Police, for which Miami technicians will visit Santo Domingo, while the Dominican counterparts will come to Florida’s biggest city.
