Tourists to Colonial City jump 10% in 1Q, to 214,393
Santo Domingo.- The Colonial City’s tourism activity jumped 10% in the first quarter, with 214,393 foreigners arriving in that period.
Santo Domingo Colonial City Tourism Development Program coordinator Maribel Villalona provided the information, and said the US, Venezuela, Spain and Puerto Rico top the list of countries where the travelers hail from.
Villalona said the higher number of tourists “is due to the diversity of attractions in this part of Santo Domingo, which every day attracts the world’s attention. We’re growing, it’s clear that this is still a preferred area.”
