Resorts wager on Samaná’s spectacular attractions

Samana, Dominican Republic.- Breathtaking beaches, gastronomy and hobnobbing with nature are but a few of Samaná’s attractions.

Located just two hours from Santo Domingo, Samaná peninsula boasts myriad destinations to delight visitors with a vast landscape which melds mountains shorelines, beaches and rivers.

Among its main natural attractions figure Cayo Levantado, an island surrounded by white sand and turquoise waters, ideal for snorkeling or swimming.

Balcones del Atlántico in Las Terrenas, and Vista Mare in Samaná offer furnished apartments and villas with all the amenities of conventional hotels.

Balcones del Atlántico features one to three bedroom villas, furnished with simple rustic wood and province art decor such as coconut palms, fish figures and shells. The property also features the seaside restaurant Porto.

All of Vista Mare’s 87 apartments spread over 17 buildings have ocean view on Cayo Levantado, which boasts two beaches and the a la carte restaurant El Cayo as well.

Both have gyms, bar and lounge, children’s club, swimming pools and jacuzzis, and offer excursions to sites such as El Limón waterfalls, Cayo Levantado, Rincon beach and Los Haitises National Park.
