Pact bolsters the tourism sector’s sustainability

Santo Domingo.- The National Council for Climate Change and the Clean Development Mechanism and the Dominican Republic Hotels and Tourism Association (Asonahores) on Monday agreed to work jointly for the sector’s sustainability and deal with the challenges of climate change.

Council vice president Ernesto Reyna and Asonahores president Joel Santos signed the agreement which aims to materialize the actions.

The agreement would advance “the measures necessary to adapt to and mitigate climate change in the tourism sector and prevent major economic, environmental and human losses.”
