Road assistance patrols to be reinforced along airport routes

Santo Domingo.- The Public Works Ministry on Thurs. announced the reinforced road assistance patrols along routes of seven airport as part of the “Safe Christmas” plan that starts Monday nationwide.

The routes will be the Las Americas, Cibao, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, La Romana, La Isabela and Barahona (Maria Montéz) airports during the holidays.

Public Works said the road safety and protection plan is to increase prevention, safety and minimize traffic accidents during Christmas to avert fatalities.

In the operation that starts noon Monday, Dec., 11 over 400 vehicles will be assigned to road assistance through Public Works’ Military and Police Commission.
