Ruling for the State in coveted Dominican Republic beach

Santo Domingo.- With the ruling for the State on Friday the Land Court revokes the titles in private hands of the lands of Bahía de las Águilas, Pedernales (southwest), the titles to the three main plots have been invalidated in litigation.
On this occasion the ruling handed down by Barahona Land Court judge Juan Domingo Méndez, upholds the property rights of the State to the of plot of lands in the 3rd cadastral district of Enriquillo and annulled over 200 demarcations made by individuals during the conflict.
When announcing the court ruling, the Justice Ministry noted that there are 630,000 hectares with long stretches of beach and suitable for tourism projects.
Two of the three parts of the litigation over the titles for Bahía de las Águilas are already in the Supreme Court , which is expected to rule for the State.
