Dominican Republic heads to Madrid Fair with leader’s flair

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic, whose main source of income in tourism, will take advantage of Madrid’s International Tourism Fair (Fitur) from January 23 to 27, to showcase its lesser-known attractions; adventure tourism and ecotourism.

in a statement Friday the Tourism Ministry said that this time the country partnered with Fitur, “which will imply a prominent presence and greater visibility by the Caribbean nation.”

The Dominican Republic, the Caribbean tourism leader, will welcome all visitors to Fitur 2019 in its pavilion under the slogan “It has everything” and will feature “the widest range of alternatives to enjoy an unforgettable trip.”

“The Dominican Republic “accumulates a well-established track record in ecotourism,” said Tourism minister Francisco Javier García, who will head the Dominican delegation.

He was upbeat with the country’s expectations in the new Fitur event. “We are confident that this year we will achieve greater accomplishments than in previous years in Fitur.”
