Incidents with tourists haven’t harmed the capital’s hotels ‘in the slightest’

Santo Domingo.- Recent events that have surfaced about incidents with tourists haven’t harmed the tourist business in the capital “in the slightest.”

Santo Domingo Hotel Association (AHSD) president Roberto Henríquez, affirmed Sun. that occupancy in the capital hotels hasn’t been affected.

He said there’s a “backdrop” behind all the reports which need to be investigated. “Everything is still very recent to evaluate the results of possible cancellations of reservations,” he said but acknowledged not having the data from the country’s East region hotels.

“I would like to comment that we have to be very careful with the information because this wave is not going to stop that easy. Everyone will want publicity.”
