Dominican Republic works to keep French tourists coming

Paris.- The Dominican Republic continues intensifying its effort at the new version of Top Resa that takes place in Paris to ensure that French tourists continue to choose that long-distance destination as their favorite in the Caribbean, said Deputy Minister of Tourism, Fausto Fernandez on Wednesday.

He said France has been one of the most faithful European sending destinations to the Dominican Republic, with the visit of 818,025 French in almost four years.

“From the Ministry of Tourism and in the company of the private sector we spare no effort to ensure that the French continue to prefer us as their favorite destination,” Fernandez said prior to starting his meeting and negotiation session on Top Resa.

In a statement the Ministry of Tourism said that among the private sector companies that participate in the conclave figure Lifestyle Holidays, Barceló Hotel Group, Impressive Resorts & Spa, Coral Costa Caribe, Hard Rock, Playa Hotels & Resorts, Punta Cana Resorts and Club, Viva Wyndham.

As well as, Casa de Campo, Karisma, Hodelpa, Bahia Principe and Be Live Hotels, in the same way, Meeting Point, ECT, Colonial Caribbean, DMC, Therrestre, DS. Voyages, MINT Hotels & Risorts, Leopordo Tours, Blue Travel Partner services, among others.
