Las Vegas carnage prompts Espaillat to seek anti-gun unity
New York.- Just hours after the carnage in Las Vegas, Dominican-born US congressman Adriano Espaillat, on Tue. asked his colleagues to unity to legislate against guns, with tougher rules against possessing weans and ammo.
“The massacre left me with a broken heart,” said Espaillat, who has submitted a bill against concealed weapons. The lawmaker also said that he sent his condolences to the relatives of the dead and wounded.
“As authorities continue to investigate the motive behind this senseless attack, we cannot remain silent about the need to establish stronger parameters on possession of weapons in the US. We must do more, collectively and in unity.”
