Tsunami warning as 7.7 quake rocks Cuba, Jamaica

Santo Domingo.- A powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake was detected, south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica Tuesday afternoon.

Reuters reports that the quake has triggered a tsunami warning for Jamaica, Cuba and the Cayman Islands, also Belize, Honduras and Mexico.

Jamaican websites have reported that the tremor was felt in Kingston and St Andrew, St Mary, St Catherine, Hannover and other communities.
