Aerodom will promote Unicef campaigns in favor of children and adolescents

A partnership has been established between Siglo XXI Dominican Airports (Aerodom) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support the organization in its mission to protect the rights of children and adolescents. Within the premises of the airports operated by Aerodom, passengers will find messages that promote awareness about the rights of children, as well as a team that will accept donations to assist the work of UNICEF.

Through this partnership, travelers and other members of the airport community will be able to learn about UNICEF’s initiatives, understand the challenges that children and adolescents face in the Dominican Republic, and voluntarily become donors to this branch of the United Nations.

“Thanks to Aerodom for providing us with spaces at the country’s airports to make visible and advocate for the rights of children and adolescents in the Dominican Republic. With this contribution, they demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility and the rights of children,” said Rosa Elcarte, UNICEF representative in the Dominican Republic.

Mónika Infante, director of Aerodom, stated that the partnership with UNICEF allows for campaigns within the airports to promote awareness about the rights of children and adolescents and to raise funds for their development. This joint work between both entities is a commitment to improving the development and well-being of children and adolescents in the country and supporting children in the Dominican Republic is a priority for Aerodom.

The proposed initiatives are part of the corporate social responsibility program of the VINCI Airports network, which operates airports in Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, Barahona, and Samaná, all of which are run by the concessionaire.
