Mayor of National District and University of Seville sign agreement

Madrid, Spain.- The mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, and the rector of the University of Seville, Miguel Ángel Castro Arroyo, have inked a collaboration agreement aimed at fostering mutual cooperation in key areas.

The agreement, signed at the University of Seville, solidifies cooperation in sustainable urban development, cultural heritage preservation, and the promotion of education as a catalyst for social transformation.

Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will bolster ties through annual scientific and cultural exchange programs. These programs will encompass joint research projects, postgraduate study initiatives, and the exchange of academic and administrative personnel.

Furthermore, they commit to sharing information regarding the organization and functioning of their respective institutions. Additionally, they will jointly conduct courses, seminars, and symposiums involving university professors and city council staff.

Expressing her views, Carolina Mejía stated, “This agreement with the University of Seville marks a significant milestone in strengthening our academic and cultural cooperation. I extend my sincere gratitude to the university leadership for their warm reception and dedication.
