Sosúa 10K race returns for its ninth edition in 2024

Sosúa, Puerto Plata.- The Sosúa Sustainable Development Association (ADSS) announced the ninth edition of the SOSÚA 10K ADSS, set to take place on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. The race will feature an 8.1-kilometer single-loop route, starting and finishing at Las Flores Park on Pedro Clisante Street, and covering the main streets of the El Batey sector and part of the Sosúa-Cabarete highway. There will be two categories: a 10K for runners aged 13 and up and a 1K for children between 7 and 12 years old. Walkers of all ages are also welcome to participate.

The event aims to promote Sosúa as a tourist destination and strengthen community ties. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each category, both male and female. The ADSS expects high participation from athletes and families, as seen in previous editions.

The race is supported by a variety of sponsors, including the Ministry of Tourism, Sosúa Products, Casa Linda Residential, and numerous local businesses. Organizers encourage people from all over the country to join, emphasizing the event’s goal of showcasing the attractions of Sosúa and involving youth in the community.
