Santo Domingo.- A Haitian couple caused a violent altercation at the Darío Contreras Hospital, attacking medical staff after the husband, aged 28, was admitted to the emergency room. The couple reportedly became enraged, assaulting doctors and nurses with punches and kicks. The man also brandished a knife he had smuggled into the facility.
Although briefly detained, the couple managed to escape during the arrival of another critically ill patient. Their identities remain unknown, prompting the police to initiate a search to locate and arrest them.
César Roque, the hospital director, issued a statement condemning the attack and expressing concern for the safety of medical personnel.

Let me guess people are commenting on this one. I bet they are pretending like all or even a lot of Haitians do this. Too late. Two people already did it. Of course, they do not believe they are racist.
Why are you trying to make this about race and not about the fact that haitians have a total disregard for our immigration laws? If they didn’t illegally crossed our borders, this wouldn’t happen. Always preemptively making things about race, painting DR as racist and making sure the conversation doesn’t move from there and always putting the burden of action on DR.
When are haitians going to fix their country and illegally crossing to ours? Why don’t we talk about that instead?
Let’s continue to pressure the DR government to keep up the mass deportations, otherwise we will continue to see more news like this. Get those people out of here, and fast.
