Panel of experts to talk Odebrecht, corruption

Santo Domingo.- Specialists from five countries will present next Friday in the Dominican Republic the discussion “Challenges and difficulties of arbitration at present: Laundering and Corruption” hosted by the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CRC) ), of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD).

The conversation will take place in the El Embajador hotel, from 8:30am to 12:30am.

Arbitration experts Roger Rubio, from Peru; Francisco González de Cossío, Mexico; Nancy Anzoategui, Argentina; Luis Martínez, the US; and Manuel Fermín Cabral and Luisa Nuño, Dominican Republic, will address the topics “Corruption and arbitration in Latin America” ​​and “Money laundering and international arbitration.”

The speakers will also discuss Odebrecht in the panel on “the most recent cases of corruption in the region: challenges to the institutionalism of arbitration”, “the arbitrability of corruption,” “corruption and investment arbitration,” “new Dominican law on assets and arbitration, “cases of money laundering in international arbitration” and “the role of the arbitral tribunal in the event of suspicion of laundering.”
