Central Bank says the economy grew 5.9% in first 2 months

Santo Domingo.- Central Banker, Héctor Valdez Albizu, on Mon. said that the economy posted a growth of 5.9 % during January and February.

Valdez Albizu provided the figure after announcing that starting next Monday the Central Bank will offer online courses specialized in economic and financial education.

He said the project will start with a five module course on Payment System and then courses on inflation, financial system, monetary policy, issuance of bills and coins, among other topics.
