Litter and you will pay for it

The mayor of the Cabrera municipality, Jorge Cavoli, informed that a man accused of throwing garbage on a public road in that area was arrested and subsequently fined.

Cavoli offered the information through his Facebook account.

“The first citizen arrested and fined in Cabrera for throwing garbage on the public highway, committed a violation by throwing a plastic cup from a motorcycle on the way to the Cabrera / Nagua exit,” the message states.

“We will educate and warn but we will act drastically against this irresponsible practice. We will defend our municipality, our country, and our environment, at the price that is necessary. We change or we will make this change, we appreciate your cooperation,” Cavoli added.
