Fire destroys hundreds of pines and other species in Jarabacoa

Fires rage in Jarabacoa

Hundreds of pines and other tree species are being destroyed by a forest fire raging this Thursday, April 18, in different communities of Jarabacoa.

According to the reports provided to news outlets, the fire affects the communities of Paso Bajito, Paso Alto, Hoyo de Nigua, El Montaña, and Los Marranitos.

So far the origins of the fires in different parts of the city of Jarabacoa are unknown.
