Video: CAASD will have 145 trucks to supply water to neighborhoods that suffer from drought, prohibits filling pools

Water to drink but not for pools

The Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (CAASD) will have 145 cistern trucks to supply water to neighborhoods affected by the ongoing drought during Holy Week.

These trucks will not be available to fill pools, as was done in past years, as it was rejected by some sectors of the population.

Residents of some neighborhoods see the measure as unfavorable because wading in pools is the way to spend the days at home for Easter, while others believe that they should be filled, but not at the expense of wasting water.
