Santo Domingo. – A crisis of such magnitude had been unleashed in Central Electoral Board that it prompted the Chamber of Deputies to announce Tuesday the launch of a probe into the alleged bungling of the legal status of mostly Dominican citizens of foreign parents.
Lower Chamber president Abel Martinez, who discarded a proposal to impeach JCE president Roberto Rosario, and members Jose Angel Aquino and Eddy Olivares, said it would be limited to an investigation to help solve problem.
Aquino and Olivares sparked the row by accusing Rosario of bungling the legal status of 22,673 mostly Dominican citizens of foreign parents.
