Authorities have halted 20 pedophiles trying to enter the country

Santo Domingo. – So far this year the Immigration Agency has returned 20 confirmed pedophiles who’ve sought to enter Dominican territory from the United States and other countries, immigration law attorney Roque Leonel Rodriguez affirmed Wednesday.

He said the controls in effect after several countries began exchanging information on criminals have led to their detention at airports, and subjected to the country’s Immigration Law.

He cited that some people are now rejected ministers of churches, but at some time committed crimes.

Quoted by news source elnacional.com.do, Rodriguez said he published a book describing the regulations on immigration to the U.S. and other countries, noting that as a specialized attorney, he knows the problems faced by immigrants since the 1980s.
