Washington, D.C.- The Official Residence of the Dominican Republic in the United States hosted a reception to mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Dominican Republic and the United States, dating back to 1884.

The event, chaired by Ambassador Sonia Guzmán, took place a few days after the anniversary date. It was attended by distinguished guests including Jochy Vicente, Dominican Minister of Finance, and co-presidents of the Caucus of Friends of the Dominican Republic in the US Congress, Adriano Espaillat and María Elvira Salazar, along with Dan Meuser, president of the Cigar Caucus.
