Photoguardians of Nature Congress on June 19

Santo Domingo.- The Imagen 83 Foundation is organizing the Second Photoguardians of Nature Congress, set to take place on June 19 under the theme “Rescuing our biodiversity.”

Supported by the Propagas Foundation, the event will gather biologists, biodiversity experts, and nature photographers to share experiences, knowledge, and conduct training on biodiversity and its conservation challenges.

Scheduled from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Business Hall of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), space is limited for this significant gathering.

This year’s congress will honor the memory of Simón Guerrero, renowned for his contributions to bird conservation and biodiversity in the Dominican Republic.

The main objective is to equip photographers, nature enthusiasts, and attendees with tools to become advocates for the country’s natural wealth. The focus will be on promoting ethical principles in conservation photography.

Fotoguardians de la Naturaleza, a non-profit initiative, aims to strengthen ethical practices in nature photography and conservation efforts in the Dominican Republic. Their recent collaboration with the Propagas Foundation received international recognition for “The richness of our ecosystems,” a virtual guide accessible via ecosystems.do, showcasing the nation’s diverse ecosystems.
