Junior Alexander Jimenez Martinez, alias “Junior Boca Chula” killed after shooting police officers in Santiago

Santiago de los Caballeros — August 3, 2024.– The National Police informs that the recognized antisocial Junior Alexander Jimenez Martinez (a) “Junior Boca Chula” was shot dead after attacking DICRIM agents, after resisting arrest, for being actively wanted for his alleged involvement in double homicide and wounding a person and attempting to kill people with a firearm, all of which were committed on different dates in this province.

According to the police report, the attack took place in the Gurabo sector, when the DICRIM agents were following “Junio Boca Chula” to arrest him and when he noticed the police presence, he shot at them with a 9mm caliber Glock pistol, without documentation (occupied). The agents were forced to repel the aggression and he was wounded and later transferred to a health center, where he died while receiving medical attention.

The report adds that the events took place when Jimenez Martinez was parked on board of a blue Mazda CX-5 Jeepeta, from where he started attacking the members, fleeing in the vehicle and continuing the aggression against the agents.

“Junio Boca Chula” had against him arrest warrant No. 12155-2023, for attempted homicide to the detriment of Jose Mercado Contrera, on December 18, 2023.

He was also wanted for wounding Kelvin Perez Baez on July 24, 2011, and for the deaths of Feliz Joel Pena Espinal and Francis Augusto Moreta Jimenez on June 9, 2009.

The weapon used to attack said members was found at the scene, which, when searched, did not yield any data.

As for the body, it was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences INACIF for legal purposes.
